ABOUT ME

MY STORY

During a career spanning more than a decade, Victoria has reported on some of the world’s biggest economic stories.

Victoria spent five years at the BBC in London, first as a producer, then as a presenter for the World Service. She hosted Marketplace Morning Report, a radio programme aimed at raising the economic intelligence of listeners all across the United States.

During her tenure, she traveled across Europe covering the fallout of Brexit, the impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine, and the effects of crippling inflation. She also hosted live radio programmes from Germany as Angela Merkel stepped down as chancellor, from Greece as the European Central Bank raised rates for the first time in a decade, and from Turkey as the nation suffered a cost-of-living crisis.

Before moving to London, Victoria worked as a reporter in New York City, covering the US stock market and economy.

In 2021, Victoria traveled to Turkey’s commercial capital, Istanbul, to cover an historic economic crisis caused by rapid price increases and a plunging currency. In a place where she expected to find gloom and despair, she instead found resiliency and hope in homes and business across the city.

Victoria fell in love with the Turkish people and their stories. And, so moved by her time reporting in the country, she decided to relocate to Ankara, the capital city and seat of political power.

She arrived in early 2023 as voters prepared to head to the polls in the most consequential election in a generation. Her coverage focused on the implications of such an event on the country’s economic prosperity, and Turkey’s increasing power and influence on the global stage.

Polished. Quality. Professional.

With more than a decade of experience in broadcasting, and numerous deployments around the world, Victoria has assembled a technical kit that provides high quality audio and video that goes far beyond a typical “guest on Zoom” interaction or appearance. In the office or out in the field, she has capability to connect via Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, and company-specific proprietary apps. Victoria has immediate access to a live point with high-speed fiberoptic Internet and a backdrop overlooking Turkey’s capital city

In a fast-moving world filled with chaos, confusion, and misinformation, Victoria seeks to cut through the noise using fact-first, data-driven, people-led storytelling.
